Food Program

The Academy For Early Learning participates in the U.S. Department of Agriculture Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). We are required to prepare, serve and store food in accordance with the guidelines of this agency. This program regulates standards that must be followed governing meals for the children. The CACFP provides some funding that supplements our food budget and allows us to serve breakfast, lunch, and a snack to all our children.

The Academy For Early Learning offers:
Breakfast from 8:15am to 9:00am.
Lunch is served from 11:00am to 12:00pm in the toddler classes,
and 12:00pm to 12:30pm in the preschool classes.
Snack is offered at 3:00pm to all classes.

A weekly menu is posted for parents. Please check to make sure your child can eat these foods. Because we cannot ensure the safety of food brought from home or that it meets the nutritional guidelines we cannot allow outside food brought into the center. With a doctor’s note, we will make substitutions to your child’s menu.

Admissions, the provisions of services and referrals of clients shall be made without regard to race, color, religious creed, disability, ancestry, national origin (including limited English Proficiency), age or sex (including gender identity and sexual orientation).

Program Services shall be made accessible to eligible persons with disabilities through the most practical and economically feasible methods available.  These methods include but are not limited to, equipment redesign, the provision of aides and the use of alternative service delivery locations.  Structural modifications shall be considered only as a last resort among available methods.
